Tang and Song Street Heritage Site on Chengdu Jiangnanguan Street is located in Jinjiang District, the heart of Chengdu City, with an area of 4,800 m2. A lot of heritages were found in the site, including 16 drains of all sizes of the Tang and Song period, 4 brick roads, 4 soil branches, and 22 residences. The Tang and Song Street Heritage Site on Chengdu Jiangnanguanjie Street is a major archaeological discovery to fill gaps in urban archeology of Chengdu; this site has extremely rich heritages of various kinds, with primary and secondary streets, houses, drainages under scientific planning and rational layout, fully showing that in Tang and Song dynasties, Chengdu had already had high urban planning and construction management standard. Moreover, the crossing brick streets with a total length of up to dozens of meters is very rare in the history of urban archeology of China; such large-scale heritages of Tang and Song dynasties are rarely found in the center of a modern city.
